Block Unveils Dessa, a Voice AI Trained Only on Human Speech
Jack Dorsey's Block shared live recordings of people talking with Dessa, a speech-to-speech model trained only on human conversation, with no text. It listens and talks at the same time, laughs mid-sentence and runs locally on a MacBook Pro M4 Max or better. No public access, API or price yet: early access goes to a small group of AI safety researchers.
