Shopify Brings Shop Pay Checkout Into AI Agents
Shopify's Fall '26 Edition adds Shop Pay checkout inside personal AI agents, starting with Muse from Meta, Claude Duet and Instinct, while Claude Duet, Grok Bot and Instinct also offer Shop Pay for brands not on Shopify. A new skill, shop.md, lets ChatGPT, Claude and other agents search over a billion products and check out. Shopify connectors now work with nine agents, including Grok and Grok Bot, and new sellers can turn an idea into a storefront preview in the same chat. Money angle: shoppers can now buy from your store without leaving their AI chat.
